The Investment Migration Agency Grenada (IMA Grenada), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Grenada, hosted the first official Grenada Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Diaspora event. Held on February 19 at the Edition Hotel in Downtown Dubai, the event—celebrating Grenada’s 51st anniversary of independence—welcomed nearly 150 attendees.
Hailed as a success, the event established a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among resident Grenadians and economic citizens in the CBI diaspora. It also encouraged further investment by economic citizens in their adopted homeland while reinforcing Grenada’s commitment to its global community.
Rea Burke, Marketing and Communication Officer at IMA Grenada, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between resident Grenadians, economic citizens, and the agency itself. “Events like the Dubai outreach are crucial to the agency’s mission,” Burke stated, reaffirming IMA Grenada’s satisfaction with the initiative.
The event attracted Grenadian citizens from India, the Middle East, Nigeria, and the U.S., alongside key dignitaries, including Grenada’s Minister of Finance, Hon. Dennis Cornwall; Ambassador and Special Envoy for Development and Trade, Andrea St. Bernard; IMA Grenada’s Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Anthony; international dignitaries; and investment migration partners.
For many attendees, the event provided their first opportunity to experience Grenadian culture firsthand. Guests were serenaded by Jeverson Jamirez, an energetic soul singer from Grenada, and Karie Fortune, a pannist from Grenada’s Rainbow City All Stars steel orchestra. The duo delivered a vibrant lineup of solo performances before coming together for Sweet Home, a national pride anthem by Grenadian Soca artist Boyzie.
While in Dubai, IMA Grenada representatives also attended the two-day Prestel & Partner Family Office Forum on February 18–19. CEO Thomas Anthony participated in the Global Citizenship in a Changing World panel, highlighting the role of investment migration in economic development and sustainable growth
